Girly rod

Time to hog the board..... again.  Finished the rod for my neice's daughter.  Grand neice to me? undecided  Anyway, built it on a Batson RX6, 4 wt. 7'6" blank.  Turned the winding check from the leftover seat acrylic.  Applied CP to the blue in the signature wrap to flow with the seat blue.  No CP on the guide and ferrule wraps.  Trimmed everything out with single turn metallic purple to tie in the purple in the seat.  Turned a grip to fit a 5 year old's hands. Added white alignment dots to help her get everything lined up without dad's help.  Have a Mrs. Flybob rod sock and a Renaissance Rods tube coming.  Spoiled?  Yep, but what are uncles for? Wink

Decided on a 4 weight as I am betting this rod will take some 5 year old abuse.  That plus maybe dad won't be so eager to take it fishing  Wink.

Done hogging the board.... for a while  Roll Eyes

Knew you would find a place for that acrylic seat. Sharp winding check when dose the adoptinn process start to br a relitive of yours. I could always use a new rod and I wouldent abuse it I promise except for making it bend a few times  Grin Grin Grin

The little wind check really adds to the finished product.

And I like the wicker background, think I might use it myself in future photos.
