Redington boots blew up...

sort of. I bought a new pair of Redington Skagit wading boots last November and after wearing them about 20X, I experienced a blow out on my right boot when the felt sole came about 90% off while wading.
I still had about a 1/4 mile hike back to my camp with my sole flopping under my boot. I contacted Redington and a spokesman was quick to tell me to box the pair and ship them right out to their company in Bainbridge, WA. Hopefully, in a couple of weeks I'll be owning a new pair of boots. Unfortunately, I had planned on going up to Wishon/Dinkey Creek area next weekend. Still going, but using old tennis shoes for my wading. Sweet! Just like old times.

Sounds like you will still have fun.
I did purchase a pair of the Korker Redside with the soles that you can change. I am pretty happy with them so far. I did like that ability to change the sole. I do seem to go through soles, it these made sense.

You may very well get those new boots (or the old one's fixed) before you go. If I'm not mistaken, Sage bought out Redington (hence the Bainbridge address) and Sage has always had a reputation of excellent and timely customer service. In fact, I sent in a broken rod to Sage and asked if they could expedite the service as I had an upcoming trip and from Paso Robles, Ca. to Washington and back they got it back to me in 6 days all fixed and ready to go! Excellent service and good people.

There are two types of fly fishermen: Those who make it a lifestyle and those who wish they could.

Well, if I got a new pair of boots by Friday, I would be both surprised and extremely happy.

TK, you're correct that Redington is owned by Sage and seems to treat it the same way they do the higher end products. They stood behind a rod I bought in '96, as they assumed liablility for previous warranties. Not only did I get great service, they were friendly and helpful. Nice to see, nice to know.
Hope they take care of your boots quickly, Scott.

Came home from work and found a box of new Redington wading boots from Sage. Wow! Great service! Leaving for camping/fishing in about an hour. How cool is that? New wading boots or old tennis shoes; tough choice.

Agreed, awesome. I guess we can mark this company gold stars for customer service. Thanks for the update.
