Flow 1500, fishing great, big too!

Friday I got a chance to spend a few hours on the river. The weather remains nice, on the cool side. The clarity remains good. The Kern is being her usual self, producing good fishing and giving up some nice sized fish.
Here's the biggest trout of the day:
Here's the biggest sucker:
There have been a lot of wild fish showing. I beleive this is due too the nice higher flows last year that lasted well into the summer. The health and larger size of the wild fish are really good to see these example picturesd are from 8 to 10 inches and healthy plump:
Here's a 15" stocker that had a bruise but it didn't bother his fighting ability:
Finally, a word about water clarity. Note in this picture of me releasing a fish you can see my feet while I'm standing in two feet of water. That's ideal clarity as far as I'm concerned. I don't understand why people keep saying to me: "I guess the water in the river is too fast and too murky?" What are they talking about!

I was up today after Troutfest shooting birds and lizards with my kids and the water looked perfect! Saw some beautiful slicks above HF which had my mouth watering.........soon!

People just get scared when that can't cross the river. I like the way they think, leaves the river wide open for me and the few who no better
Nice fish!
