TroutMan,

Your post is a perfect description of our fly fishing community, especially on the Kern. The Kern is a couple hours closer than the Eastern Sierras. Plan to make the first Rendevous when you get back. Join the Southern Sierra Fly Fishers. We will all chip in for your membership!

Remember all the guys who posted, they are Salt of the Earth. You will find others, but none better.

Nice Post!  Just thought I'd chime in and say: I taught Raider everything he knows about me.   Wink  I had THE most epic moment in my fly fishing career up on the EW with Allen not too long ago when a blazing hatch went off ... I'm still editing the story for an upcoming book I've been working on... on that trip I met the brother of good friend Joe for the first time - a marine/medic named Jeff and we sat on the tailgate of the truck midday and talked about his service in afghan. while we watched raider work the water.  Brings tears to my eyes still every time I remember my way through our conversation.  Mostly I wanted to post here and thank you for your service to our country, your willingness to write, and to wish you all the best over there next go round.
Bring yourself home safe and hopefully we'll meet up some day...

Thanks for the post.
Cris

Long posts are the best posts! Especially when you get a solid tip from one of the top fly fisherman in the West.

PM sent on some options a little closer to the ranch. Stay safe, and thank-you for your continued service to our country.
