New Member Introduction.

Hello, I am a new member to the forum and in the process of joining the club. I live in the Lancaster/Mojave area and will be looking for fellow fly fishers in future to share trips over to the Kern river, other locations and club meetings. I have a major fly tying addiction, build all my rods, restoring a drift boat, suffer from not enough fishing time on the water and starting to suffer from the early stages of collecting tools for bamboo rod building. I have had many folks at work who in the past have wished to go fishing and learn fly fishing and still usually end up fishing by myself therefore I joined the forum and trying to join the club. So I am looking forward to hearing from anyone who is located in the Antelope Valley area and looking for future trip partners.
Regards and Tight Lines.
Ghawk.

Welcome to the forum! Sounds like you'll do just fine around here. The ssffc is a very active club, tons of knowledge, a a good group. Let's see that restored drift boat!

Close to you but in the North slope of the San Gabriels. With all of your interests, you will fit right in here. Bill....I noticed that you jumped on the band wagon when Ghawk mentioned "Drift Boat". Not to be out done...Ghawk-you'll probably need some help the first seven or eight times you take the boat out and launch it and well, I'm retired and all....
I have been fortunate to meet and fish with some incredible fly fishers on this forum. They have shared their knowledge and fishing tips with me over the years. There are a couple of folks who are very close to you and have similar interests like Stanbery. Welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the welcome. When the drift boat hits the waters, we see what happens. Looking forward to meeting you at the meetings and on the river.
