Warm days, hot fishing for big fish!

This week has been great! The weather makes it a pleasure to be out on the water and the fish are big and strong.
Here's the biggest one from yesterday:
The fish are still taking small flies. This one took a size 22.

Wow! That is certainly a two-handed fish.

If you're practicing catch and release, what difference does it make for the size of the fish you land.

Hmmm, looks to me like a carp disguised as a trout, Joe? Don't tell me the fly of choice this time was some tiny #22 WD40?

Me and Scott are en route now...
Why do I have the feeling that I'm gonna hear: "You shoulda been here yesterday"?
Ya think the incoming weather will put 'em off?

Wow. What a magnificent specimen!!! Looks pretty healthy. Good length to weight ratio. No fat belly. The color. The red stripe. Clear dark eyes. Still,… I'd have thrown him back to battle another day!
PS… Oh. Ya. And the fish looks great, too!

Holy cow! Look at the fins and the giant tail on that thing.
Good to see some quality trout coming out of the Kern.
