Has anyone used this App? I would like some feedback from real people that I know can be trusted before I drop 15 bucks on it. What do you guys think?

Wish I could offer and up or down vote for you Rob, but I don't really see it as being of any use. Unless you go to other states to fish. A lot.
Animated knots? Cool, but not something I see as needed on the water as I can already tie the knots that I use. I guess if there were a need to learn something new while on the go such as a Bimini Twist. But not in my normal fishing.
Fishing license purchase? Get at local shops/stores.
Regs? I check them prior to going to a new place.
Podcasts? Download them to my Mac already.
The rest…blah blah blah.
No thanks for me. But I've not used it, don't own an iPhone or iPad and don't expect to any time soon. And $15.00? Meh. Perhaps I am missing something, but it seems like another way to spend money on something unneeded.

Boy, I think Darrin has pretty much nailed it, Rob. A friend at Orvis showed me it and I was duly unimpressed. Yes it has useful info avaiable to it, but just as Darrin said- it's available for free, easily elsewhere. It's designed for what are many of the Big O's customers- businessmen who fish on rare occasions and can afford ultra-convenience for their limited time. I just got a job offer to teach in their school this summer in Manchester, Vt. (pays too low) Many go through and learn the basic mechanics and use that level as the plateau they stay on for the rest of their fishing careers. You're a bit past that, buddy.
You've got club members that have volumes of knowledge to share, too.

And who brings a smart phone out onto the water just to use the APP anyways? Oh, that's right.....

I think a APP showing where the best cold beer in town is after a day on the water would great!
