Outing/Los Angeles Kids Academy Swap

Hello all,

I would like to ask for donations for the upcoming 1st Annual Outing/Los Angeles Kids Academy scheduled for the weekend of March 26th and 27th. We will have apporximately 10 kids attending this first annual outing. I would like to limit the flies to a few flies that have been successful over the past few years on the West Fork San Gabriel River.
If I could have all who volunteer tie up a dozen flies of the same kind. Please choose from the selection below. All the kids involved in the academy will be getting one fly each from the selection below, and any remaining flies will be consolidated and awarded to the Kid who catches the largest fish. (Picture must be taken)

Parachute Adams
Caddis
Caddis Pupa
BWO
March Brown
Prince Nymph with or without(BH)
Copper John with or without (BH)
Pheasant Tail with or without (BH)

This is a great opportunity for those of us in the club and on the forum to show our support for those kids who are taking an interest in conservation and the great art of fly fishing. Please send your package with ingredients so we can discuss how the flies were tied during the fly tying portion of the academy.. Send all PM's/questions to me so I can forward you my address and or phone number. Flies are due to me no later than 3/18/11. Thanks in advance for your support. Peace Cool

The kids will definately enjoy the new flies they will be obtaining from a great group of guys. Thanks Ryan for stepping up and tying both the caddis and caddis pupa Wink

. FYI sparkle caddis pupa seems to work especially well. I am looking forward to seeing the final product. If there is anyone who would like to donate more flies please feel free to send me a message so I can add you to the list. Any and all extra flies will be accepted. Once complete please message me so I can send you my address. If you will be attending the Academy I have no problem with you bringing the flies to the West Fork to save $ on postage. Thanks Cool
