Here she is so far. Boy does 5 minute epoxy go off fast  I was able to get the reel seat and cork on after I found my spline of the blank. Pete, you are right, it's much harder to find the spline on a four piece. After marking all four pieces, I then put the pieces together and checked the spline again. With the pieces together and lined up the rod jumped to the spline with ease so I felt much better about my markings.

I was torn between a black reel seat and a bright nickel and I thought the black would be more stealth and less chance at spooking the fish.  
OK I admit I don't have a clue, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it

Very clean looking!!!!  Thanks for keeping us up to date on your build.  You didn't feel any pressure working with the 5 min epoxy did you?
