Casting Clinic Sunday Morning, 7/11/2010 (Read 158 times)

If any of you are interested in honing your casting skills, I will be giving a clinic this coming Sunday morning. Meet at the shop at 9:00 a.m. All are welcome, from beginner to advanced. Thanks for all the friendly greetings! It means a lot because fly fishing is intimidating without the help and mentoring of those with so much knowledge. All I have for the casting clinic is a Cortland fr2000 (just got it today). Very slow action fiberglass. The reel appears to have Sylk line with no backing. I would love to try any fly rods as I know nothing and have not cast anything yet. I have only a tiny bit of information from recent reading. If it makes a difference, I am a woman.

You will learn more quickly than guys do. Don't worry; just show up. We'll get ya set up and once you've finished your lesson, you'll be ready to fish.

Would you take a few pics and post after the class? I remember one of the classes I attended I caught a fish while practicing the roll cast. Thanks for paying it forward.
