Figured that would get everyone's attention... Check this Out..
That's a
1,051 lb.
Wild Boar shot near Anniston, Alabama.. by the 11 year old kid on the Left (that's his father on the right) It took the kid 11 shots to finally bring this Monster down...
Certainly gonna be alot of Sausage, Bacon, Pork Chops, etc.. around that Household for a while..
Kinda figured Some folks might like looking at This

Some people are like Slinkys. They aren't really good for much, but it brings a smile to your face when you see one fall down the stairs.

The worst day of fishing beats the best day of working, and remember, nobody on their death bed wishes they had worked more. Fish, laugh, love!

When I was assigned to Fort McClellan in Anniston Alabama we would see hog signs in the backcountry all the time, but NEVER in my life have I seen one anywhere near this big!!!! The biggest pig I have ever killed went about three hundy and he was UGLY....good chow though. Looks like the hunters haven't gone hungry in awhile..haha...yeah, I said it too. Actually, they look pretty regular for Bama folks...at least that is my recollection . And yes, there is good fishing in that state too. That hog is gonna give me nightmares, yikes.

It is rather large isn't it. Has anyone ever tasted wild hog? It's not for everybody. This thing is bigger than an elk! Later, 209

You have to be careful with wild boar like that, it can either be gamey or even worse, full of hormones.....if you have ever cut one open and gotten a whiff of that smell you won't forget it. You can certainly make sausage out of it though.

JIM,
The Board I got this Picture off of, we were commenting on How
Big
the father was... One gent even suggested if the father went running around in those Piney Woods, Junior would probably mistake him for a Boar and Blast him....

11 shots? That bums me out a bit. I have no problem with hunting whatsoever, but before a person goes out I think that they should be a decent enough marksman that they can bring an animal down with a well placed shot (or a 2nd to put the animal out of it's misery). 11 shots makes me think this guy was walking around the woods wounded for some time. Hopefully that's not the case though. Killing wild animals is ok, but making them suffer for any extended amount of time is not. Just my$.02.

In the Southern States they do. In California they don't. A 300 lb. boar in California is considered quite a hog. In most Southern states, the wild boars usually interbreed with domesticated pigs and the hybrids get quite large. 1100 lbs is hard to believe, but they are often shot in the 600-800 lb range.

Yeah , they do interbreed with domesticated Hogs and that's the result, I've seen some that where 600 lbs, My Cousins shot them... You could have put a saddle on them and rode them in the Rodeo....
