Upper Kern @ 800cfs dry flies working

The last few days on the upper river has been very productive with a few different techniques. Not only is nymphing and stripping working but fish are coming up for dry flies in the middle of the day as well. There is a small mayfly hatch that is attracting them into surface activity.
The river is clear
and beautiful.
We also have been floating from the powerhouse down to town and picking up fish in locations that havent been fished this year. The river is wadable in some areas now.
enjoy

Thanks for the update Guy. It sounds like the Kern is finally getting very fishable. I'm planning on fishing the South Fork area this weekend. But now I'm tempted to come over to the North Fork. Take-care!
