Upper Kern @ 1500 but fishing good
Apr 13th, 2005, 12:32pm

Sorry we havent been writing any reports lately, just been busy on the river the last 7 days.
Weve been throwing  Buggers with a little bit of split shot and doing very well fishing the edges, runs and behind boulders etc on the Upper Kern. Even though the flows are at 1500 you can still fish lots of areas that are holding fish.Be careful wading into deeper water. All the fish are on the edges and holding in slower water. Water temp in  Kernville is at 45-50 degrees. We are also doing well with various nymphs bouncing in deep water. There are lots of fish in the upper and the fishing is great.
The lower is very productive with lots of Smallmouth , Largemouth and Trout being caught.
Lake Isabella is producing Trout as well as Crappie and Bass from the shore.

The Upper Kern is from Lake Isabella north.
