Guy Jeans, owner/guide/instructor, has over 30 years
of angling experience and has been fly fishing the Kern River for over 25
years.He guides over 250 days a year all over the Southern Sierra, Sequioa National Forest , Golden Trout Wilderness, Domeland Wilderness, South Sierra Wilderness and he is a Simms Guide Ambassador for Simms fishing products. He also hosts and guides trips in North Western Montana as well.Guy has fly fished all over the US and Canada and loves to catch all species of fish on a fly. He is also host of the critically acclaimed show and DVD "Sierra Fly Fishing" and he writes articles about fly fishing, for magazines and newspapers throughout the west. Zach Kinler ,
Retail Sales/Guide/Instructor Zach grew up in Joplin Missouri and learned to fly fish in the Ozark Mountains. He moved to Colorado to attend the University of Colorado where he received a degree in Atmospheric Science and Weather.Zach has worked and guided at the Brooks Lake Lodge in Wyoming and at the North Fork Guest Ranch in Colorado.He honed his fly fishing skills on famous trout waters such as the Arkansas, Wiggens and Blue rivers. In the winters, Zach is manager of a kids ski school at the Crested Butte Mountain Resort in Colorado.We are glad to have him on the KRFF team.

Bill Darbee, Retail Sales has been fly fishing for over 20 years and loves everything that has to do with fly fishing. Bill’s favorite aspect of fly fishing is being out on the water with friends and family. Bill was born and raised on the Beaverkill River in New York State and is the nephew of the famous Catskill fly tier, Harry Darbee who is the inventor of the popular fly, “Rat Face Mcdougle”. After the military Bill met his wife of 40 years, Patty, and moved to California. He served 30 years on the Bakersfield Police Department retiring as Lieutenant in 1999. He has a daughter, son and 7 grandkids. He is a member of the Southern Sierra Fly Fishers Club and is presently on the Board of Directors as President. Bill is known for his great sense of humor, kind nature and the guy who knows how to catch the big ones.

Raquel Jeans,
Owner/Flyfisher is the brains behind the whole operation.She helps the guides (who have fly fishing on the brains)stay organized. If you need or want to book a reservation or ask a question, she's the person who will answer your questions.Most days when the guides are on the river, you will find her in the fly shop helping customers select flies,trying on gear,or just talking about fly fishing. Raquel is known for her sense of humor, warm friendly personality and attention to details. She works hard to make sure your trip to the Kern River is one to remember for a lifetime.

Joe Margiotta,
Web Technology/Development/ Joe has been fly fishing for 45 years and has fly fished all over the US, Canada and Mexico. A master fly tier for 40 years, he has tied his own effective patterns for many different fisheries including the Kern. He has been involved with the Fly Fishers Academy Youth Project that teaches kids the art of fly fishing and fly tying since its inception in 2005. Joe has been fishing the Kern since the late sixties and is a master fly fisherman of the sierra mountain range. Joe is our website developer and is a major key in the operations of our multiple websites.

Tysun McMullan,
Producer/Director-Sierra Fly Fishing Tysun has been fly fishing for about 4 years, but his real interest has always been behind the camera.Whether its photography,filming or editing,this talented artist has that magic eye to help us see things in a different way.Tysun is owner of Sierra Fly Fishing "The Show!!" a show about the fly fishing in the Sierra Mountain range,with the first show on the Lower Kern River and the incredible fly fishing it offers. Tysun was senior editor for “Making the Video”, a successful show on MTV that ran for four years.(17 seasons). He was lead editor for “Homewrecker” and edited several episodes of “Punked” and “Pimp my Ride”. Prior to becoming an editor, Tysun was Director of Photography and Cameraman for many films and television shows including “Behind the Music”, and the award winning short, “La Rev De La Mer”.
Tysun, an avid outdoorsman and professional photographer, spends much of his time in the Kern River Valley, fly fishing, kayaking, filming and taking photographs. He now lives in Wofford Heights, California, in the beautiful Kern River Valley. Tysun is well known for his artistic approach to filmmaking and photography, and his unique editing style.
